Hyper Pressed Brick Brick Field
A comment
All negative reviews on the quality of hyper-pressed bricks - when buying non-certified products. It is only necessary to purchase a brick directly from the factory warehouse or from authorized dealers. And attempts to save money can lead to very sad consequences. Brick Field Brick Factory has been producing facing brick for over 20 years. Even water repellents are part of all products, so there will simply be no efflorescences on the house (subject to the masonry rules). Have questions? Just call. .
pros
- high frost resistance
- low water absorption -
- high strength and reliability
- seismic stability
- a huge selection of shades and shapes of facing bricks
Minuses
It is necessary to order immediately the entire batch of facing brick. Otherwise, there may be differences in several shades.

Hyperpressed brick
A comment
Great building material. It is tested in the foundation, walls, fences, baths, stoves and like paving stones. Thermal conductivity is not higher than silicate; for other indicators, it significantly exceeds both silicate and ceramic bricks for the better. As for cracks, the manufacturer’s dishonesty: the selection of material and composition of the mixture has not been made, the manufacturing technology has not been developed, or the manufacturing process itself is grossly violated. For three years now no frosts (up to - 40 C) have been taken down the masonry itself, 2.5 m high without a foundation and half a brick, the fence is like new.
pros
With a competent approach to production technology, only pluses.
Minuses
One - thermal conductivity is higher than that of ceramic material. But here, by selecting the mixture, you can reduce it almost to ceramics.

Hyper-pressed brick, tested at home.
A comment
For a long time I could not decide what face to do at home. Searched for all + and -. He stopped at the pressed brick, because manufacturers talked about its strength and showed certificates and technical specifications about its tests.I took two stones from different pallets from one of the manufacturers, arrived home, put them in a bowl of water, took them out a day later and immediately weighed them, then dried them on the battery for a day and weighed them again, the moisture absorption turned out to be 6.2% in my case, I think this is very good indicator. After home tests, I turned to a friend of mine who works at a ceramic brick factory with a request to check my bricks for compression (almost all plants have such a press for testing their products). He checked, and I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that the indicators are higher than what the manufacturer said and showed me.

Since then, all my doubts are gone. Now I choose a pressed brick.
pros
Beautiful, smooth, ceramic manufacturers see him as a strong competitor.
Minuses
Not found.

The practical aesthetics of hyper pressed brick
A comment
Hyper-pressed brick attracted me with its appearance. The shell rock, which is used in the manufacture of this brick, gives it an unusual texture. It is also noteworthy that the variety of styles and textures allows you to clad a house using the most daring design ideas.

This brick is painted with a special pigment. The quality of the dye is not in doubt. The fact is that I wanted to make the cladding of the house with this particular material and a few samples remained. They have been lying under the sun for five years, and all the same are bright and beautiful.
By the way, you can save a lot if you buy a chipped style, namely: splitting a whole brick into two or three parts.
pros
Natural appearance, at a low price.
Minuses
If the masonry is done by laymen, then the brick at “minus temperatures” “tears” along with the mortar.

Hyperpressed brick Litos Skala is a heavy, but beautiful and affordable option for the facade.
A comment
For facing the house of parents went through a lot of options. Confused by the price, quality, narrow palette. Hyperpressed brick Litos rock took on the advice of a friend - a novice designer. I liked the color and texture as much as possible like a real stone.

I myself could not put this brick. He hired a team of masons who, though slowly but beautifully made the facade of the house. By weight, one brick is about 3.5 kg, the edges are not even, on the pallet 52 pieces, at an average price. As for quality - the facade looks beautiful, I don’t see any problems yet. I know that the strength of Litos is rock M 200, good frost resistance and low moisture absorption.

Of course, I would not build a house out of hyper-pressed brick, but for facing, it’s quite a worthy option at an affordable price.
pros
- price
- naturalness
- frost resistance
- palette
Minuses
- a relatively new type of building material

How I chose a hyper-pressed brick
A comment
Institutional comrades sell building materials. He went to them 4 years ago, planning to build a cottage. They recommended a hyper-pressed brick imitating stone. Shades were 20 or 30, took a light brown. 15 p. paid for a piece, and even went bankrupt on an improved masonry mortar with plasticizers.

Masons tinkered: each brick weighs 4 kg. The decorativeness is unusual, but in the winter the cottage “froze”, showered. The ebbs on the roof were to blame, poor insulation. Okay, corrected. But even now the walls are freezing in the cold, soaked in the rain with moisture. The strength is zero. Squeezing out of the grooves of the solution, cracks are the norm.
pros
exactly like granite, a lot of colors, impeccable design
Minuses
expensive, heavy (the foundation takes longer to equip), only experienced bricklayers intelligently lay it; sensitive to wet environments, mechanical, temperature effects; quickly destroyed in the absence of insulation
