Reviews of metal
Metal - lightweight (from 4 to 6 kilograms per square meter) roofing material with a metal galvanized core, for strength, coated with a polymer coating. Used for roofs with a slope of more than 14 degrees. Serves up to 50 years. To determine which metal tile is better, read the reviews of developers about this material.
Types of metal
The material of manufacture. The basis of metal can be steel (most often used), aluminum or copper. The last two metals are more expensive, but have greater resistance to corrosion. However, steel metal is distinguished by a wider color gamut.
Metal tile profile. Also, the types of metal roofing vary in profile and wave height. The Monterrey profile is most similar to natural tile, the most economical is the wide Cascade profile, Banga and Andalusia are suitable for exotic lovers.
Polymer coatings. Marks of metal tiles differ in the type of polymer coating. It can be inexpensive polyester or plastisol, the strongest shiny pural or flexible PVF2 coating, resistant to high temperatures.
The choice of metal according to the parameters
The thickness of the sheet and its zinc coating: A sheet of steel no thinner than 0.45 mm, coated with 275 g of zinc per square meter, is considered standard.
Type of polymer coating: choose it based on the operating conditions of the roof. If they are stiff enough, then the polymer layer should be thicker and the material more durable (for example, pural is suitable).
Profile Type: depends on the specific task, as well as on the configuration of the roof and the desired appearance. The profile must be of high quality - such sheets in the stack are tight, without gaps.
Availability of quality certificate and warranty: - important factors. For reputable brands (both domestic and foreign) they are always present. The front side of the metal must be marked.
