Two years ago, my brother and I decided to give a gift to parents. They have a small summer house on their summer cottage. It was built a very long time ago, and the roof fell into complete disrepair. As a gift, we chose to replace the roofing with a new one made of metal tile. All options considered by us were rejected. The reason is the large weight of the coating material. The walls of the house are quite thin, and such a load for them was undesirable.
Therefore, they began to look for metal with a small weight. This was Scandinavia - instead of the standard 5kg, its weight was 3.5kg / m. Despite the fact that some reviews said that a tile with such a weight is too thin, akin to foil, we still decided to choose Scandinavia. The price suited us well, but there simply weren’t any other options.
We decided that even if the service life is not very long, the coating will “work out” its price anyway.
After 2 years, we can say that we were not mistaken. With the coating, everything is in perfect order. There haven’t been any leakages yet, hopefully there will never be. It is a bit noisy during heavy rains, but it is tolerable - it does not rain very often.
pros
Light weight, attractive appearance, low price
Minuses
knocking on the roof in the rain
