Stretch ceilings Descor (Deskor)

Descor fabric ceilings, reviews of which you will find on our website, are high-quality German paintings, they can be used both in pure form or for creating multi-level ceilings. A distinctive feature and the main advantage of the Descor canvas is its large width, which allows you to create a perfectly even surface, even on the ceiling of a large area there will be no seams. Canvas Descor is made in three versions: matte, glossy and imitation fabric.

Descor Fabric Ceilings - Afraid of Water.

Why I chose the canvas from the Descor company, everything is very simple:

- a very durable material, the fabric ceiling is made of thin polyester, which is impregnated with polyurethane;
- eco-friendly ceiling, has micropores, through which air circulation occurs;
- no heating is needed for installation;
- has no gloss, looks neat;
- does not fade, does not absorb odors, fabric ceilings cannot turn yellow;
- does not accumulate dust;
- seamless ceiling.

The advantages of the sea, so I bought it for the nursery, but in the process of exploitation I revealed one, but a significant minus! A pipe burst from the neighbors above, and a real nightmare was happening in the room, I later found out that fabric ceilings are not able to withstand a large amount of water, they just fell off, there was no limit to horror.

So, I can recommend them only to people with their own home or to those who live on the top floor.
The cost is about 700 rubles.

Reliability!

Before the repair, I just read a mountain of reviews, proceeding from them and chose the stretch ceilings, I decided to make fabric. Of course, this is not that ordinary fabric, but a synthetic fiber with high strength, made of polyester, which is eventually impregnated with polyurethane. I chose DESCOR, I really liked their colors, the fabric, has a completely matte surface, and in combination with white it looks very elegant. And the price was much lower than that of similar manufacturers.

The ceiling was installed in a room of 15 m2 in about an hour in 3. There was no smell, and there was not much dust. Before work, they covered all the furniture with sheets, and after that they removed it and did the usual cleaning.
All work together with the material came out in 13 thousand, a fairly reasonable cost. And the ceiling is just a sight for sore eyes, it looks very worthy.
pros

Descor: worthy representatives of European quality
A comment
They made a European-style repair, with which ordinary ceilings did not fit at all. Take the risk to put fabric. We studied, thought, and preferred Descourt suspended ceilings, the whiteness of which made it possible to carry out any design experiments. The cost seemed quite normal.

We found craftsmen, covered the furniture with plastic wrap. They only blinked an eye, everything was completed. Although a lot of rumble. We have rooms with a length-width of less than 5 m, there were no seams. The height of the ceilings took 5 cm. But some parts of the paintings looked sagging.

The smell is zero. They look good now, other coatings in our “fun” apartment look much worse.
pros
inexpensive, snow-white, resistant to cold-heat, durable, fairly wide; slightly reduce the height of the room, smell neutral, are installed simply, without heating, quickly; if not wet, wash well
Minuses
gain moisture, quickly become dirty, slightly sag, "noisy" in the installation; it is extremely difficult to wash after flooding
Term of use
more than three years
