At the same time, the door cannot be held by the handle like mechanical locks, a sharp response occurs immediately.

Another point, the door in the opening cannot be fixed rigidly. There is always a slight backlash. This is especially noticeable when the kitchen window is open. A draft is jerking the door and it shuts rather loudly when closed. Well, the price, of course, for one magnetic one you can buy two simple mechanical of the same quality.

Their cost is certainly not budgetary, but so with any product that is only becoming a leader in demand. At first, when I just bought Bonati magnetic latches, I was terribly disappointed. The mechanism did not create the impression of being reliable. Some kind of flimsy plastic latch, besides, having a noticeable backlash that is not yet installed. However, the installation of such a lock did not present absolutely any problems: I installed the groove, measured the answer, cut out the groove and mounted it. However, there are several nuances, first of all, you need to accurately position the latch and the overhead bolt, the door leaf is offset by 2-3 mm and the lock will not work.

The metal case is covered with a protective plastic case, which provides additional protection against corrosion.

The only "drawback" is the unusualness when opening the door. The handle is not that tight, but you miss the moment when the mechanism is disconnected and you can open the door. The doors close very easily, you just need to push them into the opening.
