Recently we lost the key to the door and had to call the emergency opening master. The master set to work and it turned out that before that they had already tried to open our door! It was a complete shock for us. Moreover, recently only the lower Guardian lock was closed the door, since the apex larva was out of order.

At that time, the seller could not offer me anything else at an affordable price. I decided another lock, mortise, model 21.14 to buy the same company about which in the future, repeatedly regretted.
I use the internal lock, unlike the overhead lock, quite intensively. About 20 closure openings per day. I lubricate the locks periodically, at first with lithol, and now VD40 because I came across rather “noisy” and jammed models. However, during the year of operation, I had to drill a larva from a mortise lock, which stuck with the door closed.Not too happy with the quality of the products.

I tried to open the Guardian castle 2514, which worked for a whole year. the attempt was unsuccessful because two of the 6 screws did not loosen. Cranked from the start. The screw of the cylinder mechanism had to be turned several times, one way or the other, since the latch of the tongue in the larva was turned in the other direction. From this, the slot on the screw completely vomited, I had to look for and replace it with a screw made of normal metal. The only advantage of this lock handle and lining. There is no confidence in the mechanism itself after working with it, despite the manufacturer's assurance that its products meet all the guests and 4 categories of security and protection against hacking. I decided to replace the lock with a product made of better metal.

In addition, when opened, the mechanisms do not emit loud sounds. This is very important, because recently we had a son who has a very sensitive dream. Both locks are equipped with an overlay to cover the hole. The only drawback is the rather rapid loss of the elegant look. On the surface of the decorative lining scratches remain even from the smallest exposure.

I bought the 3201 Guardian lock for the front door to the apartment, it seems like a normal product.High secrecy, the presence of armor plates, a mechanism well thought out by the designers, but the sales performance of the product is far from the price that is required for it. To begin with, the standard fixing screws are made of raw, non-hardened metal and have crosswise slots.

This practically negates all engineering refinements with secrecy and protection against hacking. The lock becomes almost one-time. I had to change the lock cylinder after losing the key, so the screw fell off a half-turn like plasticine. I had to drill a screw and knock out a larva. And two years after installation and rather careful operation, the crossbars broke off at the castle. After that, the castle was dismantled and sent to a landfill.

Starting from the eye with a disgusting view and ending with the assembly of the entire structure. However, the castle received special attention. Firstly, the turning square turned out to be short and was attached to the handles only on one side. I had to buy a new one, and install it myself. Secondly, after two months of operation, the “dog” is falling apart - the handle return mechanism. For some reason, he was not in the lock mechanism itself, but was attached directly to the handle under the decorative trim. Given that the material from which it was made is very fragile, it did not last long.
