Aerated concrete houses

Aerated concrete is a light and warm material intended for the construction of private mansions, houses and summer cottages. Its peculiarity is in the porous structure, which determines its main parameters. It is environmentally friendly and allows you to create a microclimate comfortable for living inside the building. Today, houses made of gas-silicate blocks are no less popular than brick ones. Learn about the advantages of houses made of aerated concrete will help you reviews of owners of houses built from this material.

For a very long time they could not choose the material for our nest. We looked at expanded polystyrene concrete and timber, and other numerous aerated concrete options. The beam fell away after they looked at the bathhouse a year later it led, cracks appeared, everything was cracked. Other materials also did not inspire confidence. And in winter we saw a promotion with free storage. Beauty!!! We arrived at the office we all figured out, we paid, and when spring came, they all brought without problems. We live in the house for the fourth year and we don’t know the problems. Block forty plastered without insulation. The house is very warm and comfortable !!!

A good option for economical material
A comment
I build aerated concrete H + H and do not regret the money spent. ideal geometry of the blocks, it’s a pleasure to lay down, respectively, and the seams are obtained 1.5-2 mm. Plus, there are all solutions for construction: U-blocks, jumpers, floors, no need to think up anything extra. For the season I plan to completely finish the main construction of the house.

The house from the autoclave gas-silicate block
A comment
I have a 2 storey house from an autoclave gas-silicate block 30 cm thick
Flush with 10 cm mineral wool + 5 cm ventilation gap + metal siding <--- (WRONGLY PRACTICAL !!!!!)
20 plastic windows throughout the house (3 glass argon krypton gas, profile thickness 80)
Regarding hardware (bolts, dowel nuts, screws, etc.) ---> SEARCH ON THE INTERNET !!!
Russian - does not mean bad !!!!!!!!!!!!! Rosdyubel - fastening on aerated concrete!
pros
CHEAP, FAST!
Minuses
IT IS NECESSARY FOR THE HOUSE TO BE POST AFTER ESTABLISHMENT - otherwise it will be cool at first !!!
Fragile! (VERY CAREFULLY erect the joints of the roof and walls !!! THE ROOF SHOULD NOT PRESS ON THE WALLS!
We settled in 2 years after construction.

We recommend using aerated concrete
A comment
Products from aerated concrete are often used in the construction of one - three-story stone houses. Due to its structure, aerated concrete guarantees minimal heat loss, providing a comfortable microclimate indoors and can significantly reduce the cost of heating a house. Aerated concrete is also called "stone tree" - this material combines all the positive qualities of stone, wood and brick and fully reflects the versatility and ease of use of this material for construction.

In addition to comfortable living conditions, aerated concrete meets other requirements for the material during the construction of the cottage and subsequent residence in it:

- frost resistance
- fire resistance
- Durability
- High soundproof properties
- Profitability and high pace of construction

When building a house, I chose aerated concrete blocks Aerok
A comment
Last year, he decided to start building his house from aerated concrete blocks, among the manufacturers he preferred Aeroc.

The material is good, the blocks are porous, thanks to which the walls breathe in the finished house. In addition, aerated concrete blocks perfectly retain heat in the room. The size of one block is 600X300X200, despite the impressive dimensions, they weigh very little. He builds a house with their help quickly and easily, in a few hands you can safely manage in 2 weeks.

I am completely satisfied with the house, it turned out to be warm and economical. It took quite a bit of time to build, and not much money was spent on the material, so I recommend this material to everyone. For myself, for a year of using the house from aerated concrete blocks, I did not find any flaws, in the winter the house is warm, beautiful and cozy, and what else may be needed.

Great building material
A comment
I’ve been engaged in construction for more than a year, I thoroughly studied during this time all the nuances of a particular material. Aerated concrete blocks are now quite popular among the population, and I believe that the material is excellent and has many advantages.
pros
- lightweight material;
- aerated concrete blocks are considered environmentally friendly material;
- earthquake-resistant material;
- the geometry turns out to be ideal during construction, due to which it will be possible to save a pretty penny during the finishing work;
- ease of installation, it is not difficult to build from aerated concrete blocks, the work does not require enormous energy costs;
- the material is not combustible, a huge plus, unlike the same tree;
- it’s cool in summer in such houses, and warm in winter, excellent energy-saving ability;
- affordable cost of material, it comes out much cheaper than brick.
Minuses
- fragility, fragility.

Aerated concrete house - good housing with a special construction technology.
A comment
Having bought a land plot in an urban area, I decided to build a two-story cottage for permanent residence. For the construction of the first floor, aerated concrete with a density of D500 was used, and for the construction of the second floor, aerated concrete with a density of D400 was used. When erecting the walls, it was necessary to insulate the underground section of the foundation, this eliminated the need to conduct additional wall insulation. Under the ceiling he installed an insulated armored belt. The outer part of the walls was covered with vapor permeable plaster. As a result, having stood the right construction technology, it turned out a warm and comfortable house with an excellent microclimate.

However, the house has some disadvantages. Heat is in it only if it is heated all the time. If you turn off the heating appliances, then the house quickly becomes cold.
pros
does not require additional wall insulation.
Minuses
Doesn't keep warm inside.

Great material for cottage houses
A comment
When I started to build a house in the country, I chose aerated concrete, primarily because of the cheapness. Built over the summer, the house itself is 2-storey. Before that, I thoroughly studied the material, for giving I consider the most suitable option. Be sure to warm the house, aerated concrete has such a feature, it is afraid of moisture, its pores are open, it absorbs moisture. When frost sets in, moisture freezes and the material may begin to crumble. I insulated the house with polystyrene, in the end I got a house in which heat is stored for a long time. In winter, we maintain warmth inside the house, we have a boiler, so compared to the neighbors, it takes us much less money to heat up than they do, and it is much warmer in our house. The neighbors have a brick house, not insulated with polystyrene foam.
pros
Aerated concrete house is quickly and easily built.
Minuses
It’s better to take it in trusted stores, don’t look for cheap materials, I bought two cubes at a cheap price, and they started to crumble, as a result I still had to buy.

Who has extra money - buy aerated concrete!
A comment
When I was building a house from aerated concrete blocks, I already knew that to close the beams you need to make an arm belt. I used blocks with a brand of 500. I chose this brand, because both the density is normal for a two-story house and the thermal insulation characteristics correspond to our climate.

Of course, I spent on the foundation due to the fragility and porosity of concrete. And this is perhaps the very first and biggest minus of my construction. The rest of the work was carried out quickly and there were no special problems.
Further finishing work followed. At this stage, I had problems with fixing various communications. Dowels for gas blocks "flew" to me a pretty penny.

Although the manufacturer claims that 380 mm is enough for the thickness of the walls and the house will be warm, I did not try my luck - plus, additional thermal insulation.
Therefore, I can’t say that I was satisfied with my choice.
pros
Dry walls. Light weight.
Minuses
Unstable, additional insulation work and financial costs.
