The metal from which the assembled walk-behind tractor is not shaky. I liked the build quality. It’s convenient to shift gears with your foot if you use mills or a plow. They switch easily and clearly. The trolley was not used. The pin in front of the walk-behind tractor is very convenient. It can easily accommodate weights to drive as part of the trolley and harrowing.

I would like rubber wheels at least 4.5-10 more. Small, comfortable to fit in a small room, which is very convenient for the site where construction is just beginning. There is a power take-off pulley for belt transmission. It is very convenient for low-cost mounted equipment. The clutch works smoothly, walk-behind tractor is slowly moving away. A coulter that is sold with walk-behind tractor is convenient for moving around the area and parking. This walk-behind tractor in my opinion is better than the quality of the Neva. I bought the MKM-3 Lander walk-behind tractor in 2010. During this time, he thoroughly studied and felt it. Despite some shortcomings, the machine is very useful. Convenience in management was especially pleased that for me as the disabled person 3 groups are important. The main work that I spend, milling, hilling and digging potatoes and all this on heavy clay soils.

pros

All the weight falls on the wheels (zero weight distribution), convenient control, easy to start, change gears, etc., a large selection of attachments, a reliable engine and gearbox (assembled at an aircraft factory), there are main and transport wheels, it is quickly disassembled into transport condition, light weight, 65 kg, allows you to independently move the walk-behind tractor in the trunk

Minuses

The build quality is disgusting, I had to sort it out with my own hands. The tension roller mount just flew off, had to be welded again;

The tension roller bearing is dry, after an engine stop of another 30 seconds it rotates with a whistle;

The drive belt tore during the break-in - replaced with a car toothed.

During operation, only 3 main disadvantages were revealed, but they spoil the whole impression of the walk-behind tractor. There is only one conclusion - it will work but it’s not worth the money.

pros

The Subaru engine is beyond praise, the Omsk gearbox is a reliable mechanism, a convenient clutch handle, a spectacular appearance - which I bought.

Minuses

The biggest drawback is the drive belt with section A, you can put only one, since the driven pulley has only one stream. And this is on the motor, which produces 4000 rpm at a maximum power of 5.1 kW. I tried to put the belt of section B, but not to put in place the belt guard, as a result the belt was unraveled in 10 minutes. On the day of intensive work with maximum loads, it takes up to 3 days.
The disadvantage 2 is the specific coupling box, on which the attachments of the manufacturers of the Salutes or the Neva do not become. They probably expect that all the canopies will be bought only from them.
Drawback 3 - poor-quality general assembly. I had to sort through everything in the cog, hold out, pull up, change the fasteners.

Plowman MKM-3 Lander, improvements and operation

This year I purchased a walk-behind tractor through the manufacturer’s online store. Came pretty quickly and fully loaded. Yesterday I finished the assembly and immediately share my impressions. In the minimum set there were: a brake pin, support wheels for transportation, extension cords for half shafts (as later turned out for lugs, not wheels), all kinds of keys and screwdrivers (a trifle, but nice). An oil level sensor is installed on the engine, not a carburetor, a special device to facilitate starting the engine in winter. If you do not need to unscrew and put a plug on the fitting.

After receiving it, I tried to tighten all the nuts - it did not take it all was tightened well. According to the advice from the forums, I drained the oil from the gearbox and measured it, the volume is about 1 liter as indicated in the operation book. Filled back, checked engine oil, everything is normal. The engine started up on the second jerk with an open air damper. 10 min average speed 10 min full throttle and all, dry run-in passed.

This season I bought a motor-block Plowman MKM-3 model with LL 168 F-1A engine. It suits me in all respects and in power, and in compactness, and in weight. Engine oil is at the normal level, but I have not found how much it should be in the gearbox. Topped with nigrol 80W90. Run in, as indicated in the instructions. By the way, the instructions are all detailed with pictures, all point by point, just read. 10 minutes of idling with half a turn, then succumbed to gas and at full power for 1-2 minutes. When the oil darkened, changed. Poured new synthetics from good ones. Last year, he dug up a virgin garden of 20 acres, killed a half of the autumn on it. This year we are milling in the break-in mode - 10 minutes, rest for 10 minutes, processed in a couple of hours. And I have no idea what I did not buy before.
