The Monaco eco-leather sofa was purchased in the center of Furniture Continent, located at 3 Varshavskaya St., St. Petersburg, http://www.robinbed.su/catalog.php (Robinbad factory product) in September 2013. Warranty period according to the warranty card is 18 months.
Somewhere in February 2016, the skin on the sofa began to bubble slightly / imperceptibly on the back on the right, closer to June 16 bubbles increased in size and began to crack, then the skin began to flap off in place of the bubbles. As the flaps fell off, new skin began to move away along the edges of the flaps. By October-November 16, new bubbles and cracks began to appear actively, which went off by rags. The places where the bubbles appear are mainly the back and the seat, gradually spreading / appearing on the entire surface where people are sitting. Skin lesions are absent on the sidewalls, in a berth (on the back side), in places of little contact with people. (At the same time, the sofa was not treated with chemistry, but was wiped from dust with a damp cloth and warm water)
Upon purchase, I was informed at the store that the service life of the material / eco-leather is at least 10 years! Due to the fact that the skin began to fall off after 1.5 years, immediately after the warranty ended, the Robinbad reclamation specialist (952) 283-22-96 recommended that I contact the factory.
I sent several emails to the factory to (11.12 and 16.01.17) with a description of the problem and photos of the sofa’s defects, but they all remained unanswered. By phone of the factory +7 (495) 781-16-30, the secretary informed me that all letters were received and handed over to the management, but the factory management refused to solve my problem and leave for the apartment for the purpose of conducting an examination.
I consider this defect to be a manufacturing defect, as ecoskin should not exfoliate immediately after the warranty period! Especially considering the low price of the sofa (at the time of purchase 2013 the sofa cost 40,000 rubles).
Summary: At a high price - low quality. product service life is 2-3 years. The management of the factory company does not want to solve the problems of end consumers, and the company where the sofa was purchased has changed its owner and they have no documents on the goods sold!
